The Katato Fish Market "Iki Iki Bakangai" (open every Fri/Sat/Sun/hol) is very popular because you can eat fresh fish and delicious sushi at a great price. Not only Nigiri sushi but also a wide variety items, such as fish miso soup and fried fish, so it's fun to choose. There's also the famous blowfish from Shimonoseki, so it's a good idea to go for it.

Kaikyokan

The penguin exhibition facility in the aquarium overlooking the Kanmon Straits is one of the largest in Japan. The "Penguins Large Formation" that you can see the penguins swimming in a flock is a must see. In addition, it is unique to Shimonoseki that you can see more than 100 types of blowfish. The dolphin shows are definitely popular.
