Tawarajima island is a small island located by the tip of Mukatsuku peninsula. 900m in diameter, 30m in height, a whole island made of basalt.
Name of "Tawarajima" derives to the island's appearance like piled rice straw bags.
Also known as a great fishing spot with rock beach consists of lithothamnium limestone.
