A temple built by Iko, a monk from Tang China who visited Japan 1200 years ago. The garden is in Shumisen Zen style from the beginning of Muromachi period.
This oldest garden in Yamaguchi prefecture got named "Ryushintei" and designated as a National scenic spot.
