At the first glance it looks like Chirashi Sushi (sashimi scattered on a bowl of sushi rice), but it takes advantage of 4-5 layers at once. The exciting way of preparing the dish and the pieces of raw fish like horse mackarel and Japanese Spanish mackarel mixed with cooked rice are characteristic of Iwakuni Sushi. The abundance of the flavor is superb.
